Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
This policy explains what information greggowen26th.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Twenty-Sixth Street Books (“we,” “us”) for author Gregg Owen.
The short version
- The only personal information we ask for is what you type into the contact form, and we use it to respond to you.
- The site has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics, and it sets no cookies of its own.
- We never sell your information, and we never add contact-form messages to a mailing list.
- Some content on the site, such as Instagram reels and YouTube videos, comes from other companies, which have their own policies.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, and phone number, your reason for getting in touch, and any optional details you add, such as your show or organization, a link, a topic, a timeframe, or a message.
We use this information to read and respond to your message, to consider booking and media requests, to follow up with you, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to any mailing list because you sent a message.
Please don’t send confidential or sensitive information through the form. See our Terms for more about this.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site (GitHub) receives basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. Our host uses this to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use it to identify you.
The site itself does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or similar technologies.
Services and content from other companies
Parts of the site are provided by other companies. When your browser loads their content, they receive information such as your IP address and browser details, and they may use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies.
- Google receives and stores contact-form submissions (Google Forms), delivers the notification email to our team, and provides the site’s fonts (Google Fonts). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Instagram (Meta) hosts Gregg’s reels. The reel thumbnails on this site are stored on the site itself, so browsing them doesn’t contact Instagram. When you open a reel to play it, your browser loads Instagram’s player, and Instagram may collect information about your visit, including through cookies if you are logged in to Instagram or Facebook. See Instagram’s Privacy Policy.
- YouTube (Google) provides the videos. Video thumbnails load from YouTube’s servers, and a video player loads only when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
- BookFunnel runs the “3 Free Chapters” sign-up page at book.greggowen26th.com. Anything you enter there is handled under BookFunnel’s Privacy Policy and any notice shown on that page.
- Retailers and other sites we link to, such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, Apple Books, Audible, and Spotify, have their own privacy policies, which apply once you visit them.
Because of this embedded content, those companies may be able to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. We don’t control their practices.
How we share information
We share contact-form information only:
- with Gregg Owen and the members of his team who handle his correspondence;
- with service providers that operate the site and the form for us, such as Google, GitHub, and our web developer, who may access it only to provide their services to us;
- when required by law, or when needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of Gregg Owen, Twenty-Sixth Street Books, or others; and
- as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of the business or assets connected to this site, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages for as long as they are useful for responding to you and for our records. There is no fixed deletion date. We may delete messages at any time, and we will delete yours if you ask, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to see the information we have from you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make a request, use the contact form, choose “Other” as the reason, and write “Privacy request” along with what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm the request came from you, for example by replying to the email address you used.
You can also simply not use the contact form. Everything else on the site works without giving us any information.
Do Not Track and similar signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. We don’t track visitors across websites or sell personal information, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off on our end. Embedded content from other companies may not respond to these signals.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please let us know through the contact form and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and contact-form information is stored with established service providers. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Visitors outside the United States
The site is operated from the United States, and the information you send is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will note it here.
